About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet our clients’ specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Set up and operate lathes and milling machines
  • Perform turning, boring, milling, drilling, and slotting operations
  • Ensure work meets required quality and tolerance standards
  • Inspect and verify accuracy of finished components

Requirements

  • Recognised trade test qualification as a Turner Machinist
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the engineering or metal industry
  • Physically fit and able to handle tools and materials
  • Good handeye coordination and strong practical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Sound communication skills in English (read, write, and understand)
