About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our top fine dining team in Cape Town, responsible for overseeing product development for menus and operations at multiple kitchen operations. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be instrumental in driving quality production standards and contributing to our annual awards success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menu concepts and product lines
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and organization
- Collaborate with the Front of House team to optimize Point of Sale Programmes for seamless controls
- Train and develop junior staff members to enhance overall performance
- Maintain exceptional personal hygiene and presentation standards
- Facilitate daily travel between outlets as required
Requirements
- At least 5 – 8 years experience as a Senior Chef in a similar managerial role and work environment
- Proven work methods and systems to drive efficiency, cleanliness, kitchen planning & organisation
- Sound working knowledge of Point of Sale Programmes for Front of House & Back of House Controls
- Excellent computer and admin skills
- Natural tendency for training and developing others
- A team-focused individual with effective communication & delegation skills
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (e.g. culinary arts degree, food safety certification)
