About the Role
RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable contractor in Cape Town, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior Civil Foreman to join their site team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing construction professional to gain further experience on major civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily site operations and workforce activities
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and programme
- Monitor productivity, quality, and progress of construction activities
- Support the Site Agent / Senior Foreman in planning and execution
- Enforce site health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Maintain site records, reports, and diaries
- Assist with setting out and checking levels where required
- Identify and report potential risks or delays
Requirements
National Diploma in Building or Civil Engineering or similar
23 years experience on civil infrastructure projects
Experience in earthworks, roads, stormwater, pipelines, or municipal services
Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
Strong leadership potential and ability to manage site labour
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work outdoors in a site environment

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R264K – R300K CTC per annum (Note: Salary range is based on experience)
