About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Night Auditor to join our iconic hotel in Cape Town, part of an international group. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely reconciliation of daily sales transactions and maximizing organizational profit and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit all daily revenue reports to ensure correct accounting for each unit.
- Verify actual departure report and scrutinize guest checkout folios to eradicate discrepancies.
- Scrutinise front office allowances, rebates, discounts, paid outs and room transfers to ensure correct authorization.
- Reconcile credit card transactions processed through electronic data capture and batch close its reconciliation.
- Ensure reconciliation of all promotion / loyalty programs, charge slips with guest departure folio.
- Monitor correct documentation of all transactions by Front Office associates.
- Prepare and process reports generated e.g. Daily Handover and Financial Reports.
- Adhere to organizational policies and regulations.
- Assist in Front Office Operations / Systems as and where required.
- Balance Food and Beverage pre-lists and report any discrepancies to the Front of House and Accounts Manager.
- Report major operational matters to the Accounts Manager and ensure all other outlets are performing during the night.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- At least 2-3 years in similar position in comparable hotels
