About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent/Contracts Manager to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for managing construction sites, client relationships, and commercial aspects of projects. You will have the opportunity to work on marine and heavy civils projects, utilizing your skills in programme planning, legal and contract administration, cost/budget/forecasting management, and SHEQ Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and project requirements
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent customer service
- Oversee commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Implement programme planning and management strategies to meet project deadlines
- Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Manage SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) aspects of projects, including quality reporting and labour/legislation management on site
- Supervise staff, providing leadership and motivation to ensure high performance
- Maintain accurate records and documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Completed degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- 7-10 years experience in fully managing construction sites, client relationship interaction, and commercial aspects of projects
- Proven experience in programme planning and management, as well as legal and contract administration
- Experience in cost/budget/forecasting management, SHEQ Management, staff management, leadership, and motivation
Qualifications
- Certification in CCS (Construction Contract Administration)
