GUEST HOUSE MANAGER: SALARY TBC Cedar Wood Recruitment is now recruiting for a GUEST HOUSE MANAGER at a privately-owned, family-run establishment, offering 12 appointed en-suite bedrooms. The Guest House is a tranquil enclave near the vibrant Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent leadership qualities, and a strong sense of humour. Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (guesthouse, lodge, or boutique hotel management). Strong working knowledge of online booking systems (Apply Below, Agoda, Expedia, etc.). Experience with RoomRaccoon or similar property management software is highly advantageous. Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is a strong advantage given the international guest base. Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural flair for hospitality. Highly organised, proactive, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities independently. A personable, mature individual who values teamwork, efficiency, and genuine guest connection. Stable employment history with contactable references Key Performance Areas Lead and supervise a small team, ensuring high standards of breakfast service and housekeeping. Act as the primary point of contact for guests, managing check-ins, check-outs, and overall guest satisfaction. Communicate regularly with the property owners, providing operational updates and flagging any issues promptly.
