About the Role
Cedar Wood Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Guest House Manager to join our client’s family-run establishment in Cape Town. Our client offers 12 appointed en-suite bedrooms, nestled near the vibrant Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The ideal candidate will be someone with a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent leadership qualities, and a strong sense of humour.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small team, ensuring high standards of breakfast service and housekeeping.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests, managing check-ins, check-outs, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Communicate regularly with the property owners, providing operational updates and flagging any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (guesthouse, lodge, or boutique hotel management).
- Strong working knowledge of online booking systems (Apply Below, Agoda, Expedia, etc.).
- Experience with RoomRaccoon or similar property management software is highly advantageous.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is a strong advantage given the international guest base.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel management.
