About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Store Controller to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our inventory levels, ensuring timely stock replenishment, and implementing effective inventory control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Coordinate timely stock replenishment to avoid shortfalls or overstock situations
- Analyse sales trends and customer demand to forecast inventory needs and align stock levels with anticipated sales volumes
- Implement and uphold inventory control procedures, including stock rotation and FIFO principles
- Work closely with the warehouse team to oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Monitor slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend corrective action
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, movements, and valuations for management review
Requirements
- High school diploma or any relevant qualification
- 2 years of experience in stock control or inventory management
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and inventory valuation methods
- Good understanding of supply chain management concepts
