About the Role
Our client, a reputable hotel in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Reservations Manager to lead their reservations team. They are looking for an individual with strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, who thrives in managing operations, coordinating guest bookings and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize sales and marketing opportunities while adhering to the hotel’s policies, procedures and standards
- Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered when processing reservations and guest requests
- Apply and interpret human resource policies and legislative requirements for efficient implementation
- Foster effective interdepartmental collaboration to anticipate and exceed guest expectations
- Oversee room inventory management with strict adherence to checklists and established systems
- Safeguard the accuracy and integrity of the property management system, including guest profiles, history and sales/marketing data
- Manage the revenue management system in line with hotel standards and audit requirements
- Contribute to high-quality service delivery both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Matric (NQF Level 4) with strong numeracy, verbal and written English skills
- Diploma or degree from a recognized hotel or tourism school
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality or tourism industry
- Strong leadership and team management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in reservation/property management systems and MS Office
- Revenue management and forecasting ability
- Organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with data accuracy and compliance awareness
