Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of agriculture inputs, equipment, and services
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Oversee the procurement process from request to delivery, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and develop strategies to meet them
- Monitor and report on procurement KPIs to ensure compliance with company policies and best practices
- Mentor and develop junior procurement staff to build a high-performing team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 6 years management experience in a procurement / agri environment
- Thorough understanding of the dynamics of Agriculture
- Must be willing to travel when necessary and to work long hours during peak times.
- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite
