About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced FOH / Field Guide Couple for a luxury lodge based in the Cederberg, Western Cape. This live-in opportunity is ideal for a dynamic couple with strong front-of-house, hospitality and guiding skills, suited to a high-end lodge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet guests
- Assist with check-in and check-out
- Assist in the restaurant and reception areas
- Support restaurant, curio and bar sales
- Handle day sheets, stock takes and month-end reports
- Assist with occasional accommodation bookings
- Answer telephone calls at the front desk
- Maintain and restock all front-of-house areas, including tasting room, public bathrooms, curio shop, front desk, bar, deck and tables
- Complete daily cash-up duties
- Assist guests with queries and complaints
- Carry out ad-hoc duties to meet operational needs
- Assist with lodge activities during busy periods or when the guide is on leave
Requirements
- FGASA Level 1 qualification
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Valid PDP Qualifications
- Hospitality or Tourism National Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant role
- Previous experience in a 4 or 5-star lodge environment highly advantageous
- Strong guest service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Strong food and beverage, waiter and bar skills
Qualifications
- FGASA Level 1 qualification
- Valid First Aid certificate
Salary & Benefits
R8,000 per person, negotiable dependent on experience. Work cycle: 21 days on, 7 days off. Live-in accommodation, three meals per day while on duty, uniform provided (50 percent cost shared with the company), free Wi-Fi, and own transport required.
