About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hot Kitchen Chef to join our team at Dante Group Ltd in Central Johannesburg. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality hot dishes while maintaining excellent food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot meals to high standards
- Manage inventory, control stock levels, and maintain par stocks
- Collaborate with chefs, service, and procurement teams to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) essential
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in hot kitchen operations
- Proven expertise in hot food preparation
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, storage standards, and HACCP principles
