Job Description

OPERATIONAL MANAGER (CERES)

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing hire and service business based in Ceres, committed to delivering exceptional solutions across the Boland region. They are seeking an energetic and driven Operational Manager who shares their commitment to high performance and brings a strong can-do attitude to the role. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-focused, and leads with a positive, practical leadership style that motivates teams and drives operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related Business field
Proven experience in operations or project management
Experience in systems management
Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Strategic and visionary thinking ability
Advanced computer literacy (experience with HAS+ or similar operations/logistics software will be advantageous)
Ability to work under pressure and manage after-hours crises
High ethical standards and integrity
Innovative, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capability
Valid EC1 drivers license

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for overseeing daily operations, fleet management, staff supervision, service delivery, and compliance for portable toilet and sanitation services across the Western Cape.
Ensures efficient, safe, and customer-focused operations while controlling costs and improving overall efficiency.
Develops and maintains effective systems to ensure seamless service delivery.
Oversees the building, development, and commissioning of new units.

A market-related remuneration package is offered, including contributions to a Pension Fund.
