Role Overview
As the Business Line Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance, development, and profitability of the service division. You’ll lead a team spread across the region, drive commercial and operational strategies, and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute service growth strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Oversee full portfolio: field service, upgrades, maintenance contracts, and remote support.
- Manage operational performance, team productivity, and service quality metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and support a multi-location service team.
- Take full ownership of the division’s profit and loss performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments including sales, logistics, and technical support.
- Engage directly with clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
- Implement process improvements and identify new service revenue opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA advantageous).
- 8–10 years’ experience in a service or operational leadership role within an industrial, technical, or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management role with regional team oversight.
- Proven P&L management experience.
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel across Southern and Sub-Saharan Africa.
