As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and providing technical expertise and support.

 Responsibilties:

• Assist in managing and overseeing geotechnical engineering projects
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards in relation to geotechnical aspects
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team for geotechnical issues
• Review and approve geotechnical designs, reports, and recommendations
• Conduct geotechnical investigations, analysis, and interpret geotechnical data
• Monitor and control project budgets and schedules for geotechnical activities
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors on geotechnical matters
• Resolve geotechnical issues and conflicts that arise during construction

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, practices, and design codes
• Experience in SANRAL roads
• Familiarity with geotechnical software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
