About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Resident Engineer with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering to join our team. As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and providing technical expertise and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and overseeing geotechnical engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards in relation to geotechnical aspects
- Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team for geotechnical issues
- Review and approve geotechnical designs, reports, and recommendations
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, analysis, and interpret geotechnical data
- Monitor and control project budgets and schedules for geotechnical activities
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors on geotechnical matters
- Resolve geotechnical issues and conflicts that arise during construction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, practices, and design codes
- Experience in SANRAL roads
- Familiarity with geotechnical software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
