About the Role
A well-established engineering firm in Durban is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be professionally registered with ECSA and possess extensive experience in commercial development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion
- Conduct site inspections and liaise with contractors and clients
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and documentation
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship where required
Requirements
- Professionally registered with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng
- BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 810 years post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in managing commercial development projects
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision
- Strong technical and project management skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
