About the Role
Our client, a leader in the packaging and Printing industry, is seeking a highly experienced Design Engineer to join their team based in Durban. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the engineering integrity of products and delivering them on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for engineering integrity, and measurement and maximum focus on item/product delivery, with guidance
- Critical decision making
- Understanding the process flow of production in order to mitigate incorrect decisions
- Understand the holistic product development life cycle from inception to production to assist in decision making process
- Planning, organizing and prioritizing workflow
- Ensuring on time delivery of engineering function of the production process
- Ensure time is managed well to mitigate any delay within engineering function
- Work towards project specific timelines
- Technical engineering
- Create 3D models and drawing packs for manufacturing purposes
- Any other reasonable request from management including particular projects as and when needed
Requirements
- Matric
- Mechanical Engineer Diploma or Degree
- 3-5 Years experience in manufacturing with divers knowledge of processes
- 1-2 Years industry experience
- 3D CAD
- CREO Advantageous
