Our client, a /leader in the packaging and Printing industry is seeking a highly experienced Design Engineer to join theiir team based in Durban.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• Mechanical Engineer Diploma or Degree
• 3-5 Years experience in manufacturing with divers knowledge of processes
• 1-2 Years industry experience
• 3D CAD
• CREO Advantageous

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for engineering integrity, and measurement and maximum focus on item/product delivery, with guidance
• Critical decision making
• Understanding the process flow of production in order to mitigate incorrect decisions
• Understand the holistic product development life cycle from inception to production to assist in decision making process
• Planning, organizing and prioritizing workflow
• Ensuring on time delivery of engineering function of the production process
• Ensure time is managed well to mitigate any delay within engineering function
• Work towards project specific timelines
• Technical engineering
• Create 3D models and drawing packs for manufacturing purposes
• Any other reasonable request from management including particular projects as and when needed
