About the Role
The Extrusion Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production process, leading a team, and ensuring efficient operations to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling daily and weekly production runs to meet customer delivery goals and optimize output.
- Managing, training, and mentoring a team of extrusion operators, supervisors, and helpers.
- Monitoring machine performance to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize plant downtime.
- Ensuring all finished products meet technical specifications and maintaining strict adherence to ISO or other industry standards.
- Coordinating with maintenance teams for preventative upkeep and rapid breakdown resolution of extrusion machinery.
- Controlling operational expenditure, managing raw material inventory, and providing quotes for new projects.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in an extrusion environment
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management
