About the Role
The Extrusion Manager at Durpro Workforce Solutions is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the production process, managing a team, and ensuring quality control. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an extrusion environment and possess technical skills to optimize machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Scheduling daily and weekly production runs to meet customer delivery goals and optimize output.
- Team Leadership: Managing, training, and mentoring a team of extrusion operators, supervisors, and helpers.
- Process Optimization: Monitoring machine performance to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize plant downtime.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all finished products meet technical specifications and maintaining strict adherence to ISO or other industry standards.
- Maintenance Oversight: Coordinating with maintenance teams for preventative upkeep and rapid breakdown resolution of extrusion machinery.
- Budget & Resource Management: Controlling operational expenditure, managing raw material inventory, and providing quotes for new projects.

- 5 years of experience in an extrusion environment
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management
