About the Role

The Industrial Engineer will design, implement and improve processes to enhance quality, efficiency and sustainability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical knowledge effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new processes and improve existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing processes, implementing changes and monitoring the effectiveness.
  • Study existing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and areas of improvement.
  • Ensure processes meet quality standards through testing, analysis and the implementation of quality control measures.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all processes, including work instructions and SOPs.
  • Oversee the implementation of new or modified processes, ensuring they meet safety standards.
  • Address technical issues and implement solutions to ensure process stability and reliability.
  • Analyse data, identify trends, optimise performance and improve decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance and quality to control and achieve process goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and strategies to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Prioritise safety in all aspects of process design and operation.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Industrial Engineering or other relevant qualification
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in similar position and/or level, in Automotive Manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Press and Weld Background
  • SAP S/4Hana software knowledge to design, simulate and analyse processes
  • Strong engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with Production Processes and quality
  • Ability to design and implement control systems to regulate process parameters
  • Safety Knowledge
  • ISO 9000, ISO14000 /OHS Standards Knowledge of Microsoft applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel
