About the Role
As a Litho Machine Operator in our Durban facility, you will be responsible for producing high-quality print work on time while operating our KBA large format printing machine. You will ensure the machine is maintained to specific guidelines and follow instructions on work tickets to meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain machine to specific guidelines set out by the supplier & the company
- Read & understand work ticket and what is required for the task at hand
- Follow instructions on work tickets, read & understand “10 point checklist”
- Use the correct material as per work ticket
- Ensure completion & make ready to the company ISO standards
- Ensure the correct colour is achieved and signed off by his supervisor or a senior minder on shift
- Ensure the correct amount of sheets is produced as per the work ticket as required
- Ensure production & efficiencies are according to company standards
- Communicate job status to Shift Supervisor
- Perform daily time management via Printvis system
- Maintain equipment performance to agreed index
- Report machine breakdowns / downtime
Requirements
- Matric
- Knowledge of Computers, Printing and Finishing Technologies
- 8 Colour Heidelberg CP2000 exp. required
- Trade Test Qualification
- Must have bookmark and magazine knowledge
- Must have knowledge of perfect binding
