The Marine Manufacturing Coordinator will be responsible for but not limited to:
Programme Development & Management Develop and implement EMCs marine manufacturing programmes in alignment with national and provincial maritime sector strategies. Oversee projects related to boatbuilding, ship repair, component manufacturing, and related downstream opportunities. Coordinate with stakeholders (industry players, government, academia, and communities) to drive sector growth and competitiveness. Industry Support & Development Identify opportunities for enterprise development and localisation within the marine manufacturing value chain. Support the integration of SMMEs, youth, and women-owned enterprises into the sector. Promote research, innovation, and technology adoption to advance marine manufacturing capabilities. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with government, industry, funders, and academia to support collaboration and resource mobilisation. Represent EMC in marine manufacturing platforms, forums, and industry bodies at local, national, and international level. Funding & Sustainability Secure programme funding through strategic partnerships and donor engagement. Monitor budgets, resource allocations, and ensure accountability in project delivery. Skills Development & Transformation Work with training institutions and industry partners to align skills development programmes with industry needs. Champion transformation and inclusion initiatives within the marine manufacturing sector. |
