About the Role

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Consultant to grow our short-term insurance book across commercial and personal lines in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial and personal short-term insurance
  • Conduct needs analysis and provide appropriate insurance solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and policy documentation
  • Ensure compliance with FAIS and industry regulations
  • Maintain accurate client records and follow up on renewals and leads

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in commercial and personal short-term insurance
  • RE5 qualification (non-negotiable)
  • FAIS compliant
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Qualifications

Salary & Benefits

R15000 Basic salary. Commission and performance-based incentives. Pension and Medical Aid Tech Allowance.
