About the Role

The PA / Assistant to Head of Customer Service is a critical role that provides comprehensive support to the Head of Customer Service and the Customer Service Team, managing department operations and handling daily duties. This position serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external colleagues on matters pertaining to the Head of Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist HoCS and customer service department in managing daily operations to ensure a positive, safe, and profitable working environment.
  • Maintain general company record system to uphold accurate files.
  • Serve as “gatekeeper” and “gateway” role, providing smooth communication between the Head of Customer Service and staff.
  • Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate HoCS ability to effectively lead customer service department.
  • Assist with special projects; design and produce complex documents, reports, and presentations; collect and prepare information for meetings with staff and outside parties; compose and prepare correspondence; maintain contact lists; make travel arrangements; and complete expense claims.

Requirements

  • Matric is essential
  • Post-matric Diploma or Higher Certificate in a related secretarial/administration discipline
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position, within a pressured, customer-centric environment
  • Well-developed numeracy and literacy
