Durban: Patternmaker (Clothing)

Requirements and Competencies: Qualification / formal training in patternmaking. Min 3 years working experience in a patternmaking role, with relevant skills. Skilled in patternmaking – manual and computerised (Lectra/Gerber/etc). Excellent understanding of garment construction, patterns, fabrics, ratings, etc relevant for patternmaking. Understanding and knowledge of methods of creating patterns for various garment types. Knowledge of general grading rules / grading experience. Knowledge and experience in clothing manufacture environment and dealing with retailers. Experience with local production will be an advantage. Must have good communication skills. Must have basic computer skills. Ability to work under pressure.
