Hire Resolve`s client who is in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry in KwaZulu-Natal is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, specifically within the chemical industry, and will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to support our operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and enhance efficiency.
Source and evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure best terms and pricing.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery requirements.
Analyze market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements for goods and services.
Participate in vendor audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procurement activities.
Stay current on industry trends and regulations to inform decision-making.
Requirements:
Bachelor`s degree in MCIPS, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry.
Relationship management
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Strategic thinking
Analytical and great attention to detail,
Understanding risk management and the ability to implement risk mitigation
Problem solver, influencer, and a good communicator
