About the Role
A well-established and growing business in the FMCG/Commodity Trading sector is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team. This high-impact role requires a commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced, stock-driven environment and understands the importance of balancing supply, pricing, and demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent and timely product procurement to meet stock and sales demands
- Manage and optimise inventory levels in collaboration with the Sales team
- Analyse import and export data to support strategic procurement decisions
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and supplier agreements
- Implement and manage trading agreements to support operational efficiency
- Monitor product quality and supplier performance
- Provide market insights and pricing trends to the Sales team
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships (local and international)
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or similar
- Proven experience in a procurement/buying role, ideally within FMCG, food, or import/export environments
