About the Role
Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Properties Engineer to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing properties-related projects, ensuring compliance with internal standards, and implementing energy-efficient solutions. If you have a passion for engineering, excellent project management skills, and a strong understanding of the property sector, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage facilities function for the division
- Plan and control expenditure within annual budget (Repairs and Maintenance, Capital Expenditure)
- Ensure that facilities meet all required internal and customer standards
- Ensure compliance to internal procurement and financial standards
- Manage and control the security function for the division
- Develop and implement the Energy Efficiency Programme for the division
- Plan, implement and monitor energy saving projects
- Remain abreast of current developments in the Energy Efficiency Industry and use of Green Technologies
Requirements
- Grade 12/ Matric or a school leaving certificate
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Building inspector/Property Management certificate (Highly Advantageous)
- 5+ years experience within a similar role
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Building inspector/Property Management certification (if applicable)
