About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandise Planner to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for developing and managing sales, margin, and stock plans across brands and categories. You will also own forecasting cycles and maintain OTB, ensuring alignment to budget. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage sales, margin, and stock plans across brands and categories
- Own forecasting cycles and maintain OTB, ensuring alignment to budget
- Monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and provide actionable insights
- Lead trade reviews and drive promotional and markdown strategies
- Optimise stock levels, allocations, and replenishment to maximise profitability
- Identify risks and implement corrective stock actions
- Collaborate with Buying, Finance, Supply Chain, and Retail teams
Requirements
- 5 years experience in retail planning, merchandise planning, or commercial analysis
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Supply Chain Management
- Proven experience managing forecasts, budgets, and OTB
- Experience within fashion, FMCG, or multi-category retail environments
- Line management experience advantageous
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
- Experience with planning systems
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail KPIs
