About the Role
As a Site Foreman at our residential construction project in Durban, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities on site and leading teams to ensure projects are completed to specification, on time, and with high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities for labourers and subcontractors on site.
- Ensure all building work aligns strictly with drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship throughout the construction process.
- Enforce site health and safety regulations to ensure a compliant and secure environment.
- Manage site tools, equipment, and material inventory.
- Conduct daily site inspections and provide progress reports to management.
- Identify and resolve technical or logistical on-site challenges efficiently.
- Oversee site cleanliness and maintain professional standards at all times.
- Assist with setting out and basic measurements.
- Accurately complete and submit staff timesheets for fortnightly wage processing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the residential construction sector.
- A valid drivers licence is essential.
- Sound technical knowledge of South African residential building processes and standards.
- Ability to interpret and work from building plans and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse site teams.
