Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable construction firm based in Durban, is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to oversee large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders while delivering projects on time and within budget.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the contractual aspects of multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and compliance with the contract terms.
  • Handle disputes and claims effectively, ensuring risk is minimized.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding contract interpretation and compliance.
  • Prepare periodic reports on contract performance and project status.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to facilitate contract execution.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction contracts is preferred.
