Job Description

About the Role

The System Integration Banking Specialist will be responsible for reviewing compliance with prescribed legislation and policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. This role involves assessing the completeness of bank Integrated Business Systems (IBS) products, quantifying work done by suppliers, and verifying value for money achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review compliance with prescribed legislation, policies, procedures, directives, and other relevant or applicable prescripts.
  • Assess if the bank IBS is a complete product inclusive of switching services that can immediately be implemented/used.
  • Quantify the IBS work done by a supplier and verify if it was done according to the specification.
  • Verify if there is value for money achieved in the implementation of IBS products.
  • Quantify the amount of outstanding work related to IBS projects.
  • Verify if delivery of IBS aligns with payments made by the bank.
  • Prepare an expert report to testify in disciplinary proceedings.

Requirements

  • Skills, experience, or attributes needed:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in IT governance and banking systems architecture.

Qualifications

Certified Proof of Qualification of bachelor’s degree / Postgraduate or Diploma in one of the following:

  • Information system
  • Computer Science
  • Software Engineering
  • Banking or Financial Technology
  • Business Analysis or related fields
  • IT Governance
  • Banking Systems Architecture
  • Financial Systems Auditing

Preferred Certifications that would give an advantage:

  • TOGAF (for architecture evaluation)
  • PMP or PRINCE2 (for project delivery assessment)
  • COBIT (for IT governance)
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  • Banking-specific systems certifications (e.g., Temenos, Oracle Flex cube, SAP Banking)
