Durban: Technical Specialist Maintenance/Millwright

Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry is seeking a qualified Technical Specialist Maintenance/Millwright to join their team based in Durban. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education level: Millwright Qualification At least 5 years work experience (post qualification) Experience with PLCs Ability to work shifts, overtime, and stand-by as and when required MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS Maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on robots, PLCs, motors, hoists, conveyors, and other plant equipment Monitoring production equipment condition and make improvements Compiling reports on departmental activities and performance Ensuring relevant ISO (e.g. 14001, IATF16949 etc.) requirements are met Create/maintain maintenance schedules and work procedures/ processes (including preventative maintenance) Conduct training on new processes/product introduction Participation in corrective, preventive and improvement projects Implement kaizen and cost improvement activities Participate in quality improvement activities
