About the Role
The East London Automotive Plant Manager position is a senior leadership role that oversees the daily operations of an automotive manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of vehicles, meeting customer requirements and quality standards, and managing plant budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for operations planning
- Manage plant budgets
- Take responsibility for manufacturing activities
- Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met
- Ensure health, safety, security and plant maintenance regulations are met
- Manage and supervise Department Managers
- Set and ensure that operational targets are met
- Manage overall resources of the business including people
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experience in a management position
- Minimum 5 years management in the automotive industry
