Job Description

Internal Sales Assistan t required for a wholesale food distribution company based in Zwelitsha The Sales Assistant is responsible for promoting business growth through generating sales to existing and potential customers. To have clear communication and up to date administrative responsibilities between key relationships on a daily basis which results in the reduction of costs and improved service levels. Requirements: A minimum of Matric Proven experience of successfully meeting sales quotas as a sales rep, or similar sales-related or customer service roles. Computer literacy to an intermediate level on all MS Office applications. Working knowledge of IQ Retail will be advantageous. English proficiency. Must be willing to reside in Zwelitsha Results required: Call existing and potential customers to generate sales Accurate processing of sales orders, using correct pricing Meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly sales targets Manage incoming calls from prospective customers Understand the customer’s requirements and present relevant solutions Provide customers with information on product benefits, features and prices Persuade customers to stock up on their basket Create and record electronic customer master data records Manage customer complaints Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales Maintain electronic records of calls and sales Always maintain a professional image Management of ALL Sales functions within the business, including, but not limited to the following functions: Maintain and service ALL existing Customers Establish relationships with new Customers Effective processing of orders and record keeping of Customers purchases Achievement of Sales targets as stipulated by Management Sales Strategies for all Customer Profiles Annual Marketing strategies in conjunction with Management Feedback to Management on a Daily / Weekly / Monthly basis (Including Sales Reports bi-weekly) Strict adherence to Product Pricing as advised by Management Assist Debtors with ensuring that Customers adhere to their terms & conditions Maintain electronic records of calls and sales Maintain a professional image at all times Effective time management. Punctual, well groomed, polite, and courteous. Effectively and professionally manage customer complaints. Contribute towards achieving the targeted distribution costs Achieve Deliver superior service to all your key relationships through friendly and efficient interactions Communicate with the Sales team, Warehouse and Drivers regarding truck ETA’s, how many trucks we are loading, customer deliveries, etc, ensuring that the company is able to sell a minimum od 70% of stock on hand Assist the Sales Representatives as well as Tellesellers with processing of their orders Produce and distribute the Orders versus Loaded and Delivery Schedule Overview reports on a daily basis Produce and distribute the daily delivery schedules, per vehicle Produce customer order reconciliations, as and when requested by the Sales Representatives Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
