About the Role
A Career opportunity exists for an IT Technician at our Head Office, in East London (HO). We have one (1) vacancy to fill. The IT Technician will be responsible to assist the Systems Administrator to drive, manage, deliver and plan all specifically assigned IT related tasks of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote and on-site support
- Offer first line and second line remote support
- On-site support when necessary
- Installation of POS and systems
- Maintenance and management of IT systems, such as:
- Telephones, internet, digital media
- Manage 3rd party support calls logged with service providers
- Hardware and Software management and maintenance, including:
- Microsoft OS
- Microsoft 365 products
- Pastel Evolution
- Third Party Services and Software
- Configuration and maintenance of hardware, such as:
- Desktop, laptop, printer, scanner, etc.
- Biometric time and attendance readers
- Infrastructure configuration and maintenance, including:
- Telecoms, Internet access, digital media, time and attendance
- Provide/implement solutions that benefit JUMBO
- Design and implement internal network infrastructure (LAN)
- Regular store visits to carry out maintenance and audits
- Cable management
- On-site support
- Manage service providers and their respective services
- Provide necessary training on IT systems
- Produce and maintain IT systems training material
- Maintain cleanliness in office
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- Minimum 2 years IT experience
- A+ and N+ certification
- Valid Drivers License Code 8 unendorsed (Essential)
- Willingness to travel (extensively)
