About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team in East London, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall financial strategy and business growth initiatives for the group. They will partner with the Board and leadership to enable data-driven decision-making and strategic planning, while also overseeing group financial consolidation, MIS, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage multi-country finance operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Lead treasury, cash flow management, and fund-raising activities including banking relationships.
- Strengthen governance, internal controls, risk management, and audit frameworks.
- Lead and develop finance teams, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multi-country organization.
- Proven track record in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and group consolidation.
- Strong expertise in treasury management, cash flow optimization, and fund-raising activities.
- In-depth knowledge of international financial regulations, compliance standards, and audit processes.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills with a demonstrated ability to build high-performance cultures.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at board level.
