About the Role
Premier Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Stores/Stock Controller to manage and oversee inventory across our hotels Food, Beverage, and Rooms departments. This hands-on role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, and efficient issuing of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and procurement procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels across all hotel departments, ensuring accuracy through regular reconciliations.
- Review departmental requisitions and issue stock efficiently with proper documentation.
- Maintain storeroom operations, ensuring hygiene, safety, and compliance with FIFO principles.
- Coordinate monthly and ad hoc stock takes and investigate variances or losses.
- Maintain accurate records in inventory systems and support finance and audit processes.
- Act as the point of contact for stock-related queries from operational departments.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
- Physically fit to handle stock movement.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Minimum 2 years experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role.
- Experience in hospitality inventory management (food, beverage, rooms) preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory control software (e.g., Materials Control, Pilot).
