About the Role
The Buyer role at Staff Solutions is a challenging position that requires sourcing and purchasing equipment, materials, and services according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and project teams, identify and qualify new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and secure favourable terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase equipment, materials, and services according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams.

- Conduct cost analysis.
- Support cross-functional teams in resolving queries.
- Prepare, analyse, and submit defined regular/ad-hoc procurement reports to support analyses.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
- Track orders, manage delivery timelines, and resolve supply issues.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and vendors.
- Work independently and within a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Adhere to ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity and transparency.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Purchasing or in Supply Chain Management.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
- Solid organisational and analytical abilities.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Numeracy and ability to perform standard business calculations.
- Strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and sound judgment in complex situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good time management.
- Driver’s License.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
