Job Description

An international freight forwarder and logistics provider that manages global supply chains is seeking a Cloud and Identity Specialist who will be responsible for building, securing, and maintaining global enterprise cloud and identity platforms. This pivotal role drives the strategic cloud transformation journey by delivering robust, scalable Azure services and modern identity systems, contributing to solution design, operations, governance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy & Operate: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot core Azure IaaS/PaaS services, including Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vaults, Front Door, and API Management.

  • Networking & Security: Manage complex Azure networking (Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute) and integrate security solutions like Palo Alto Cloud NGFW.

  • IaC Implementation: Assist in deploying and managing infrastructure changes using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM/Bicep).

  • Resilience: Manage backup, recovery, and business continuity configurations for Azure workloads.

  • Hybrid Identity: Maintain and secure the Active Directory/Entra ID hybrid environment, managing user lifecycle, synchronization, and group assignments.

  • Security Policy: Implement conditional access, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and least-privilege principles (RBAC).

  • PAM: Support privileged access management (PAM) solutions, including Just-in-Time (JIT) controls and Silverfort implementation.

  • Collaboration Services: Configure and support Exchange (Online/Hybrid) and provide Tier 2/3 expertise for Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).

  • Data Protection: Support M365 backup and disaster recovery configurations (AvePoint).

  • Core Services: Manage DNS, internal PKI, and external SSL certificate lifecycles.

  • Integration: Participate in M&A integration and O365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.

  • Governance: Configure and enforce policies using tools like CoreView and contribute to monitoring and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in IT or a related field.

  • Exposure to specialized tools like Silverfort, CoreView, AvePoint, or Palo Alto NGFW.

  • Understanding of SQL Databases and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001).

  • Experience: 35 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud and identity technologies.

  • Core Platforms: Expertise in Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory.

  • Messaging: Proven experience with Exchange Online/Hybrid environments and mail routing.

  • Scripting: Proficient in scripting (PowerShell or Python preferred).

  • Operations: Strong awareness of enterprise backup, monitoring, and DR strategies.

  • DevOps: Comfortable supporting CI/CD workflows and familiarity with IaC concepts.

Job Description

A global freight forwarding logistics company who offer a wide range of services including air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, distribution, and specialized solutions for various industries, are seeking Cloud and Identity Specialist who will be responsible for building, securing, and maintaining cloud and identity platforms across a global enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure:

    • Configure, deploy, and manage Azure services (VMs, App Services, SQL, Storage, Key Vaults, Front Door, API Management).

    • Support network integrations including Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, and Palo Alto Cloud NGFW.

    • Implement infrastructure changes via CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Terraform, ARM, Bicep).

    • Manage backup, recovery, and business continuity for Azure workloads.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure infrastructure incidents.

  • Identity & Access Management:

    • Support hybrid identity infrastructure (Active Directory + Entra ID), including user/group management, synchronization, lifecycle changes, conditional access, and MFA.

    • Assist with Silverfort identity protection implementation and support.

    • Apply least privilege principles and manage server access (RBAC, group assignments).

    • Support privileged identity access and just-in-time controls.

  • Microsoft 365 & Collaboration:

    • Configure and support Exchange Online, on-prem Exchange, and hybrid setups.

    • Provide Tier 2/3 support for M365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).

    • Support AvePoint-based M365 backup configuration, monitoring, and testing.

    • Contribute to M&A integrations, including M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.

    • Support CoreView configuration, workflows, and policy enforcement.

  • Operations & Security:

    • Maintain internal and external DNS entries, ensuring zone file hygiene.

    • Manage internal PKI and external SSL certificates, including lifecycle.

    • Configure and tune monitoring tools for identity and cloud platforms.

    • Respond to alerts, support tickets, and participate in incident troubleshooting.

    • Assist in disaster recovery testing, documentation, and backup validation.

    • Integrate acquired systems securely into our global architecture.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud and identity technologies.

  • Solid working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory.

  • Experience supporting Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, and mail routing.

  • Familiarity with DNS, SSL certificate management, and hybrid identity scenarios.

  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell or Python preferred).

  • Comfortable supporting CI/CD workflows.

  • Awareness of enterprise backup, monitoring, and DR strategies.

  • Hands-on participation in M365 or Active Directory migrations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and keen attention to detail.

  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a high degree of initiative.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

  • General knowledge of software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSc IT, BTech, or equivalent degree.

  • Understanding of SQL Databases.

  • Exposure to Silverfort, CoreView, AvePoint, or Palo Alto Cloud NGFW.

  • Understanding of GDPR / ISO27001 / POPIA.
