About the Role As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation to patients with communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving functional outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients in a supportive and professional environment. Our group practice at Nurture Aurora in Gqeberha is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING Degree in Speech and Language Therapy 5 years working experience preferable Experience working with patients who have tracheostomies beneficial Experience of working in a hospital setting imperative Current HPCSA registration and Malpractice Insurance Up to date CPD status Special interest / expertise within Neurological conditions Valid drivers license with own transport KEY COMPETENCIES Good written and spoken English language skills (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous) Willing to work in acute, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation environments Awareness of evidence base for interventions Computer literacy (assessment and weekly reports for medical funders and Microsoft Office Suite) Ability to self-manage; prioritize workload, and adaptability Excellent communication and collaborative skills within a team setting Analysis; decision making and initiative-taking Minimum Salary: R28 743.00 Company (including benefits) WHO WERE LOOKING FOR (PERSONAL QUALITIES): Clarity and Accountability: Must thrive within an environment that demands role clarity, responsibility, and measurable results.
