About the Role
A leading national distribution business in the professional skincare and personal care sector is seeking a seasoned Commercial Executive to take full accountability for its South African operations. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the CEO and Board, responsible for driving sustainable growth, profitability and operational excellence across a multi-regional business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the national growth strategy aligned to Board objectives
- Drive revenue growth and improve profitability across all channels
- Lead pricing strategy, trading terms and rebate structures
- Oversee budgeting and financial performance in partnership with Finance
- Present monthly and quarterly performance reviews to the Board
- Expand new market opportunities including aesthetic clinics, spas and hotel groups
- Lead product launches and ensure strong channel penetration
- Drive eCommerce performance and digital optimisation
- Ensure operational efficiencies across warehousing and distribution
- Maintain high standards of governance, compliance and health & safety
- Develop and empower a high-performing leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- 10 years’ experience in Sales and Distribution
- 7 years in senior leadership
- Strong commercial acumen (pricing, shelf-life, consumer demand, manufacturing dynamics)
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Comfortable operating at Board level
- Willingness to travel nationally
