About the Role
Equate Recruitment is seeking a highly organised and experienced Junior Accountant to join our client’s finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, with a minimum of five years experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a similar finance role, and prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Perform regular reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage payment runs, including scheduling, approvals, and processing electronic or manual payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounts reconciliation and reporting.
- Work closely with warehouse and manufacturing teams to confirm completion of jobs, trade, and sundry items.
- Close off manufacturing tickets and up.

- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Fluency in Afrikaans is essential for internal communication and liaising with suppliers
