About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury private game reserve in the Sabi Sands. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional looking to grow within a high-end safari hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in all kitchen operations and service delivery
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes aligned with luxury lodge standards
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and plating presentation
- Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and HACCP compliance standards
- Manage stock rotation, ordering, and kitchen organisation
- Ensure consistency and quality across all meals served
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP in a 5-star lodge or fine dining environment
- Solid understanding of luxury lodge cuisine and service standards
- Strong kitchen management and team leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a remote lodge setting
- Passion for high-quality, creative, and guest-focused cuisine
Qualifications
- Culinary qualification advantageous (if applicable)
