About the Role

We are seeking a driven and ambitious Foreman to join our team in eMalahleni, Khwezela branch. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of surface mining projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, and leading a team of technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Determines detailed priorities with regards to planned work.
• Reports on section/project progress.
• Provides input into the planning of the human capital requirements of the team/section.
• Supervises the team.
• Evaluates team members’ achievement of results against agreed priorities within the performance management framework.
• Provides input into planning the section’s budget.
• Submits staff S&T and overtime / expense claims for approval.
• Communicates changes to policies & procedures to subordinate staff.
• Plans the roll-out of contractual /service level agreements (SLAs) implementation.
• Resolves issues /problems/conflict in a positive, win-win manner.
• Remains up-to-date with Safety procedures.
• Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), with regards to dates, workshops, nomination of service, stock, and other resources.
• Schedules, forecasts and plans Repairs and Maintenance in the maintenance planning system.
• Machine inspections.
• Setting the goals for the team.
• Parts and inventory management.
• Responsible for training and development of the team.

Requirements

Trade Certificate (essential) (HEM/millwright preferred).

Valid driver’s license (essential).
