About the Role
The HotelJobs team is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our 4-star hotel in KwaZulu-Natal. As a key member of our F&B team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants, bars, room service, and other food and beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the F&B Operation, including Restaurants, Bars, Banqueting, Room Service
- Closely work with Groups & Conventions, National Sales, F&B Control, Kitchen and Finance to ensure effective communication and discipline among employees
- Monitor financial budgets, including costs and revenues within allocated portfolios
- Attend to guest queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure standards and services meet or exceed complex grading requirements at all times
- Collaborate with the Promotions department to execute F&B promotions smoothly
- Apply IR and HR policies and procedures consistently throughout the F&B department
- Implement Revenue and Service Improvement Strategies to maximize profitability
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in the F&B division
- 5 years or more experience in a 4-5 star establishment (additional advantage)
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Fidelio F&B and Fidelio Sales & Catering systems (added advantage)
Qualifications
- Matric Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related to F&B
