Job Description

Company is is seeking an experienced Facilities / Maintenance Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of its office facilities. The successful candidate will ensure buildings are safe, compliant, and well maintained while coordinating maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers. This position is based in Jacobs, Durban. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily facilities operations including maintenance, cleaning, security, and general upkeep. Ensure office buildings are maintained in line with health, safety, and compliance standards. Plan and supervise routine maintenance, repairs, and minor renovations. Manage contractors and service providers (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, cleaning). Supervise facilities staff and ensure adherence to OHS and safety protocols. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain OHS systems and documentation. Coordinate emergency preparedness and support sustainability initiatives. Handle facilities-related queries, complaints, and service requests. Assist with maintenance budgets, expense tracking, and monthly reporting. Minimum Requirements Proven experience in facilities or maintenance supervision within office or commercial environments. Strong knowledge of building maintenance, OHS, and compliance requirements. Experience managing contractors and service providers. Good communication, organisational, and people management skills. Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven.
