A well-established organisation within the marine engineering and repair industry is seeking an experienced Logistics Controller to join their team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the movement of materials, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient workflow across multiple departments. Responsibilities Coordinate daily logistics operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials. Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery of parts, tools, and consumables. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock reconciliations. Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to support operational requirements. Prepare and process documentation such as delivery notes, purchase orders, and job-related paperwork. Monitor stock levels and raise requisitions to avoid shortages. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain an organised warehouse environment. Requirements Matric or equivalent qualification. A certificate or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is advantageous. Proven experience as a Logistics Controller or in a similar operational role. Strong understanding of inventory management and warehousing processes. Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively. Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.
