Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury restaurant group in Franschhoek. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Executive Chef in running a high-end kitchen and delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

? Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations

? Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and high standards

? Maintain consistency in dish quality, presentation, and flavour across all menu items

? Support menu planning, development, and seasonal specials

? Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations

? Manage stock, ordering, and cost control within the kitchen

?? Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering a positive and professional working environment

Requirements:

? Proven experience as a Sous Chef in fine dining or luxury hospitality

? Strong leadership and team management skills

? Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail and creativity

? Knowledge of kitchen operations, stock management, and food costing

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards

? A proactive attitude with a commitment to excellence
