Leading Financial Services giant seeks to appoint a Digital Product Manager within their healthcare division.  This role will initially be on a contract basis with the view to go permanent at a later stage. 

The Digital Product Manager role is to drive the development and growth of our health tech solutions. The role will work closely with engineers, designers, clinicians, and business stakeholders to build innovative, user-centric products that improve healthcare outcomes
 
Key Accountabilities

1. Define and execute the product roadmap aligned with business goals.
2. Stay ahead of digital health trends, regulatory changes, and AI advancements.
3. Identify and prioritize opportunities based on market research, user feedback, and data analytics.

Product Strategy and Vision

Working closely with the CE and the management team articulate and document the following:

• Define and execute the product roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Stay ahead of digital health trends, regulatory changes, and AI advancements as well as the target markets ability to consume digital health-care
• Identify and prioritize opportunities based on market research, user feedback, and data analytics (Mixed Panel, Adobe Analytics, etc).
• Support artificial data analysis 
• Update competitor analysis

 
Product Development & Execution

• Translate consumer needs and market opportunities into detailed product requirements, user stories (using wireframes), and specifications (business rules) thereby delivering proof points of business vision
• Determine commercial feasibility based on partner capability, cost and market related pricing – both across PAYG and the Medical Insurance Plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, clinical, compliance, sales) to ensure seamless product execution is possible.
• Define, track, and optimize key performance metrics (KPIs) for product success.
• Champion a data-driven, agile approach to product development.

 
User-Centric Design & Experience

• Work closely with the UX/UI designers to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences. Test these and validate designs, using artificial data (AI Persona’s and current Sens research protocols)

• Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative improvements based on user feedback once deployed – drive refinement and enhancement as part of the product evolution 

 
Compliance & Security

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HPCSA, SAHPRA, CMS, HIPAA, POPIA, etc).
• Soundboard with legal and compliance teams to ensure security and privacy compliance are met, while delivering user centric solutions – requires creativity and tenacity

 
Stakeholder Management

• Communicate product vision and updates to leadership
• Propose pivots and consider these commercially with regards J-curve related to opportunity cost and investment
• Work closely with Partners 

Collaboration with Marketing

• Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure smooth product adoption.
• Work closely with the market team in identifying key USP’s and supporting their messaging
• Provide insights as to key features and how these are consumed, when and why – to support marketing activities
• Support PR by being a spokesperson for the business unit
• Support the nudging and notification strategies based on user and data insights

Technical & Domain Knowledge

• Experience in digital health, medtech, or AI-driven healthcare solutions.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7)
• Understanding of AI/ML applications in healthcare (ie those that we build to underpin nudging, push notification etc)

 
Product Management Skills

• 3-7+ years in product management (startup or scale-up experience preferred).
• Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, or Lean methodologies.
• Expertise in roadmap planning, backlog management, and user story creation.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Figma.
